Following a spectacular weekend in Springfield, Massachusetts the points standings are in and our very own Monster Lobster Crushstation sits at the top of the leaderboard!

The first of two events were great for the Bottom Feeder Motorsports team as Greg Winchenbach opened up the night’s activities with a pair of claws up wheel stands that had the lobster landing on its tail to take second place the wheelie competition. Winchenbach would follow that up with a racing victory for the first win of the weekend. Finally in freestyle it would be a wild run from Winchenbach and have the New Englander fans on their feet and cheering as Crushstation would bring home the freestyle win. For Lumberjack it would be a strong outing as well with good finishes all night long. The team picked up a fourth place in the wheelie competition, followed by third place finishes in both racing and freestyle to round out the night.

It would be another winning night for Winchenbach and Crushstation on Saturday as he would start the winning off early. In the wheelie contest it would be another tail planting performance from the Monster Lobster as they picked up the wheelie contest win. In racing it would be a good showing but not quite enough for the victory as Winchenbach was narrowly edged out in the finals, resulting in a second place finish. To finish out the event and the weekend Winchenbach had another wild freestyle run and would pick up his second freestyle victory of the weekend. While Winchenbach was racking up wins with the Crushstation, it would be another solid outing for Lumberjack as well. A third place finish in the wheelie competition and a fourth place freestyle would highlight the evening.

After such a dominating weekend in Springfield the Crushstation currently stands at the top of the leaderboard of the Traxxas Monster Truck Tour points standings. It’s a narrow lead of just 0.75 points but it is currently enough for the lead over many trucks. We’ll be back with the Traxxas Monster Truck Tour for two home state events here in Maine during the month of April. The first will be April 14-15 at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor. The following weekend we’ll be at the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland. Come join us and see if the Crushstation can keep its claws locked onto the series points lead! If you can’t make it to Bangor or Portland be sure to visit our schedule to see where else we’ll be in 2018.
